Welcome to Unfeathered Ink! A creative community rooted in the intersectionalities of identity and life. But what does that mean, what does it look like, and most importantly, why does it matter, and who is Unfeathered Ink for?

“A creative community…”

Unfeathered Ink is for the artists, the overthinkers, those looking for their true voice or creative identity, those looking to reclaim the identity they already know and love more proudly and openly, those who feel isolated with their creations and desire a safe and supportive space. With that, Unfeathered Ink’s creative community is also for those who think theyaren’t creative, bold, aspiring, etc. For those who think they don’t have what it takes or don’t know where to start (or how to finish) a project that's living rent-free in their heads. This is where you discover, become, and emerge as the next evolution of yourself.

Most of us at some point have experienced the stress and aggravation of being confined to a limiting box at society’s whim or demand. The truth is, though, none of us are just one thing. We are pieces expertly constructed into a whole, and all of who you are deserves to be seen, acknowledged, nurtured, and celebrated.

What does that mean?

It means that within the bounds of Unfeathered Ink, you will always be seen and respected as a whole person who deserves to take up space regardless of your level of creative experience or confidence, where you come from, how you identify, who you love, what limitations you may have to navigate, who you do (or don’t) pray to, the languages you speak, etc. Who YOU ARE is welcome and cared for here, and who you grow into while with Unfeathered Ink will be encouraged and celebrated.

What does it look like?

It looks like acceptance over tolerance. It looks like creative solutions to every day problems. It looks like finding and choosing what works for you. It looks like whatever you need it to. Here’s what I mean—being “a creative community rooted in the intersectionalities of identity and life” means also taking a multidimensional approach to how Unfeathered Ink provides services and what those services are.

Creative Collaboration

Writing Process

The writing process can be incredibly overwhelming no matter your experience. We all struggle with different things. Depending on your needs, this can include anything from brainstorming to publication and events. From research papers to books, Unfeathered Ink is here to coach you through it all: brainstorming; writing; organizing; formatting; editing (technical, voice, and cultural); revisions; help with design and layout; presentation; publication options; and marketing decisions. Reaching out for help with the writing process can be just what you need to conjure, create, and complete something you are proud of and that feels uniquely you.

Organizational Consulting

Do you run a team or business that struggles with communication? Would you like to nurture an intercultural space that truly supports diversity? Meditation & Spiritual Guidance

I get a lot of confused looks when I say I offer meditation and spiritual guidance so let’s talk about it. First, let’s clarify that what I offer is non-denominational. This is not about any specific religious practice (although you are welcome to take what resonates with you and incorporate it into your life any way that supports you). What I do, is help create a space where you feel safe to be vulnerable. I teach you how to come home to yourself so your thoughts can flow. I teach you how to channel your feelings into creativity and possibility. I guide you to look inward and acknowledge your internal voice instead of all the ones around you. I help you process the pain that comes up during the creation process. I teach you how to channel empathy and set healthy boundaries. I help you see your self, your creations, and your community as sacred.

***Do keep in mind the following: This aspect of my coaching is uniquely tailored to the needs and comfort level of each individual or group; I am not a doctor or certified therapist; I AM ordained, and I take your privacy and my duty as a mandatory reporter very seriously (I extend this note to all of my services as I do consider all forms of self, creation, and community as sacred).

PATHS & COSTS

In the past, Unfeathered Ink worked mostly with contracted clients. This is no longer the case. Matter of fact, we’ve completely phased out long-term, high cost agreements all together. Switching to a flat hourly rate has allowed me to focus on reorganizing Unfeathered Ink into a more accessible and personalized experience for all that come through our virtual and physical doors. However, the feeling of full-time support that came with those contracts has not disappeared, it just looks a little different. It will look more like 1:1 sessions as needed, supported self-paced courses with lifetime access, and various forms of facilitated group events.

Courses ($333/module or $1,997/course)

Why Does It Matter?

Our world is constantly shifting, views progressing, society evolving, cultures meeting in everyday spaces. Even when it feels like time is moving backwards, the fact is we are still moving forward and how we experience this life is transmuted through our voices, art, and communication. I believe that our ability to understand and engage in thoughtful collaboration and impactful creation starts with truly knowing the self, staying curious about possibility, getting to know the communities we engage with, and taking time to learn about those we don’t. I created a whole business devoted to doing the job I want to do, and that’s to nurture, inspire, ground, motivate, and communicate with those who genuinely want to know themselves and the world around them on a deeper level so they can reach their goals, potential, and dreams.

Unfeathered Ink maintains strict community standards. It is not a place for hate speech, disrespect, racism, gender or identity based hate, or any other violent or aggressive behavior, etc. Unfeathered Ink reserves the right to cease all business with or deny anyone who violates these expectations and/or refuses the opportunity to reconcile differences with fellow community members in a safe and thoughtful manner.
